5/5/2024—Volunteer Training

Have you ever wanted to help in worship as a greeter, usher, lay reader, or lay assistant but were unsure what was involved? Or, are you a person who has served faithfully in one of these roles and knows the details involved with the job?

On Sunday, May 5th, we will hold a training session immediately following both services. One will be at 9:00 am and the other at noon. If you have volunteered in any of these roles, please come to the training so you can share your knowledge with newcomers.

During the Sunday School hour, we will hold a training for youth interested in serving as basket holders and acolytes. We intend to include more volunteers in our rotation to lighten everyone’s load and ensure a consistent approach to each job.

Saturday, May 11, 2024- Trinity Golf Tournament

This event raises money so we can award scholarships to two Conrad Weiser High School Seniors to help them further their education. This year, our event will be held at Green Acres Golf Course, and it will be a four-person scramble with registration at noon and a shotgun start at 1:00 pm. For this to be a success. We need your help.

  1. Before the event day, we need help recruiting golfers and sponsors. It could be you, your family, friends, business associates, etc.
  2. We need help with donations for our silent auction! We are looking for prizes like restaurant gift cards, gas station gift cards, and bottle(s) of wine, whiskey, or liquor.
  3. We will need help on the day of the event with registration, serving food and drinks, running contests, etc.

Sign-ups and registration forms will be in the newsletter, Sunday Bulletins, on the kiosks, and on tables in the narthex. You can also find everything you need on the website under Jack Frost Events- Golf Tournament.

Numerous Ways to Support Our Community!

Family Support Fund

We created a Family Support Fund as we continue to live into our call to respond to our community’s and world’s needs. We are accepting donations for families facing emergency and/or crisis situations. We are doing this because we know that praying for the health and well-being of one another is deeply important. Still, we also know the realities families face when dealing with rising gas prices, many different caregivers, and working to maintain as much of the status quo for the rest of the family as possible. To give to this fund, checks can be made payable to Trinity with a note on the check or envelope that says “Family Support Fund”. You can also go to our Special Donation page.

Trinity’s All Saints Scholarship Fund

Our scholarship Fund was set up to support our Trinity members who graduate from high school and plan to further their education at a college or trade school or enter the workforce. We send monetary gifts to our graduating members each year to help them on the next leg of their journey. To help us sustain this fund, checks can be made payable to Trinity with a note on the check or envelope that says “All Saints Scholarship Fund”. You can also go to our Special Donation page.

Wernersville State Hospital

We are collecting snacks and treats for the patients at Wernersville State Hospital: individual servings of snack foods such as chips, crackers, and cookies; chewing gum, applesauce, puddings, Jell-O, and fruit cups of any kind—both regular and sugar-free are welcome. Place donations in the box marked Wernersville.

Western Berks Shepherding: Volunteer Drivers Needed

More new adult volunteers are needed to transport clients to medical
appointments. Volunteers can choose when and where they wish to drive and how often. It’s a flexible, flexible way to volunteer, requires little commitment, and is extremely rewarding.

Contact the co-directors Lisa Snyder and Jodi Eisenhauer for assistance or to volunteer at 484-294-7394 or email them at WesternBerksShepherding@gmail.com.

9am Monday Morning Coffee & Conversation

The coffee is ready at 9 am. Continued conversation happens from 9-10 am. We start with the weekly Gospel lesson and see where the conversation leads us. We gather in the social hall  —there is plenty of room for all.
