We are planning something new on Sunday, September 13th. We will change up our schedule that day so that we won’t “do” church, but we will “be” the church. This has been an ELCA emphasis for two years, and we thought we should get on board! We will begin the morning at 8:00am with a prayer send-off. We will then go to different service projects to serve our community and people around the world. We will be collecting for health kits, which will be assembled at the church. We will have different service projects for families and individuals to do together, everything from cleaning up yards, to spreading mulch, to clearing trails. We will then return to the church around 11:00am for a celebration of service, with pictures and singing and a blessing to end our day. This will be a great day to celebrate what it means to live Christ’s love, and a great way to start off our fall together as the risen body of Christ. Sunday School and our regular fall schedule will begin the following week. We are looking for service projects, so if you have work to be done, let us know. If you have seen a project within our communities that could use some paint, or work, or clean-up, let us know. We will have something for everyone, old and young, all being Christ’s hands together.
